[Personal] [Stupid] Don't Talk to People When You're Tired nor Talk to Tired People

This lesson is more obvious now than it once was in the past, but I think it's impossible to talking with a tired person is a waste of time. In fact, when I become an employer, I will measure quality and quantity of work and not how many hours they put into something, with a minor expectation of coming into work on a 10am-5pm work schedule. But I'll make it clear to not even bother if you are tired because nothing gets done. I have to admit that today was one of those days.

Yesterday, I ran the Walsh Jesuit Talent Show, which was simply put: Amazing. We had a dubstep violin player who played like Lindsey Sterling: Jessica Kwok. We had a juggler who used glow in the dark equipment, which was crazy! He even juggled with knives on a ramp towards the end. There was a magician and a lot of other singers too. I'm not that much of a fan of singing unless it's a girl I like. That happened last year, but she would never reciprocate because I am an atheist, and I didn't now how to control my opinions and limit them. I wasn't a butthole about it, but I could have shut my mouth a few more times. And even then, it's got to be good. My friend Paul Bukovac (sort-of friends is more accurate), played a song featuring Joe Salyers being a goofball and even taking a selfie on stage. Chris, the juggler won the competition, Kwok in second, and I forgot the other two finalists. It was a blast with the exception of the lights not working. We had basic lighting, but all of our LEDs (control any color of the rainbow) and rotator spots (good for lighting people, but also lighting the audience) were down. That was a bummer, and I didn't know how to fix it efficiently. I could figure it out, but since Pla is here, it would be easier to look at it with him.

Before the performances, I was simply tired. I wasn't crabby, and I was trying to be nice, but I was obviously tired. I broke my important goal of not complaining, and complained about a few people, a few things, and how the lights didn't work and the show would stink (even though it turned out great) about a hundred times. I hate people who complain about everything they do and yes they exist. I was one of them for a few hours before the show. Luckily, after realizing I was tired, I isolated myself. I started taking Benny Sings's Your's and started to find the chord progression. Then I played it and thought of the person I had a crush on and imagined us singing a duet together for next years talent show and I'll just stop right there before I enter Mike Chase fantasy land. I kept getting interrupted (NC) and ended up throwing a pity party in solitude, which was good because no one was in the chapel except Isabelle Rizzo. She made me feel appreciated and tried to cheer me up, and I just got off and walked away so Nichole Charnigo could do her warm up in a British accent. She's great, and I'm warming up to her. I suppose we're becoming more friendly towards each other as I understand her personality. Mike Eckman called me and invited me to go the mall with them which I would have loved to do if it were not for my parents. Actually, they're all coming over to my house now, which is kind of cool!

Well, I'll wrap this up now that I have visitors. This could be a fun night depending on what time my parents kick them out.

The lesson is this: Just avoid people whenever you or they're tired. If it's urgent, drink caffene or in my case a 5 hour energy shot. Actually, ignore this lesson. I just went from being more dead than a turtle to being somewhat motivated to clean the basement. Yep, forget this.
