Let your Kids Name Themselves

I got a great idea that was influenced by John Green from Looking for Alaska. Let your kids name themselves. It's cheap, maybe even free. It's also a really neat gift.

Make sure to read Steven Leavitt's chapter on about what your name says about who you are as a parent, and pay attention to stereotypes. I don't know the specifics, but if I got to choose my name again, or maybe my child's, I would make sure to read that first. I think it's in When to Rob a Bank, but I'm not sure. I'll take a look at it down the road.
