An Ode to Starbucks

Dear Starbucks,
I regret selling your stock last year because you've doubled your share price and I would be able to afford the amount of Starbucks I consume through your stock alone. And then I would spend it on more Starbucks.
Whenever Red Bull fails me, which it does, you're here with your tables that are long enough for me to spread my homework over. When I bring four friends, we're not moving our laptops back so they do not hit each other.
Your drinks are 80% milk and 20% coffee - but we don't care because they still taste good even though they cost $4.
You play music that's not annoying at a soft enough volume I can tune out using a pair of headphones if I need to.
And the caffeine content is spot on. Usually one beverage is ~300mg which is way too much, but it empowers me to do even the worst of Physics Lab reports.
I have sympathy for Tastefully Roasted down the street. Sometimes I choose them over you, but then, my wallet is continuously disappointed by the lack of free-refills and expectation to tip with money I don't have.
So instead of raising a glass, I raise my pumpkin spice cold-brew, to you, Starbucks. May your customers continue to live happier lives. May your investors always have your back. May the gentle evenings be filled with the happiest of your employees, and may you always hold a spot in my heart for keeping all college students afloat in their studies.
