Business Idea: Detachable Keybooards
I got a great business idea, and it's one that I can even do right now. Basically, I have an AlphaSmart Neo. That's what I've been typing on to do these blog posts. It works as a keyboard when its plugged into my computer. It's so power efficient that it will last a year on three double A batteries. What's so great about this keyboard, is that after I unplug it, I can still type on it. There's an LCD display on it that is 6 lines long. I can type on it, then plug it in. I then hit the send button, and it types everything super fast right onto my computer. It goes right into blogger, and then it's done.
The great thing about the AlphaSmart Neo is that it's detachable, the energy efficiency, and the fact that it's a dedicated device. There's nothing to get distracted over. There's no games or anything. Only 8 files to type stuff on, and then send to a computer. There are some other things too. I can password protect stuff. There's lots of room for improvement though. First, they don't sell them anymore. You have to buy them off of eBay, and there are a lot of them since a lot of schools purchased class sets of these. I can make a modern model though to. This would include an optional backlight, backlit keys, more files & lots more ram. I could also put some basic apps and utilities on it, but I still want it to be focused on typing and writing, not things like playing games. Password protection is nice too. The point is that its a dedicated device to type on, and then put it on your computer. The other thing I would do is make the files mass storage, so that you can just copy ande paste the text documents than type super quickly. But you'd have both. It would be a detachable keyboard, that you can type on the go, and then plug back into your computer and sync up with it.
I wonder if consumers know a lot about this, or if it was mainly a school thing. If it was more of a school thing, I can market this to consumers, and not schools. Or maybe both!
No one is allowed to steal my idea!!!
